What are Chakras?                        

Chakras are energy centers in the body that can be measured by frequecy. There are many of them that correspond to each organ, joint, system etc but the ones that are most commonly talked about are the " Seven Chakras" These are located from the bottom or "root" of our spine to the top or "crown" of the head. There are even more above your head in and around your aura but we will focus on the main seven here, plus an eighth one, the "seat of your Soul", the thymus gland. 

During a Reiki or Massage session, your Chakras can be tested, before and after your session. If your Chakras do NOT balance during your session, it doesnt mean there "something wrong with you", it just means that its a good time to focus on the region of imbalance and look deeper into yourself for answers. If your higher self is willing, you maybe able to achieve balance. You may feel an overall sensation of wellbeing after this is performed. Making good life/food/environmental choices will optimize the effects of Reiki, Chakra balancing and massage or any other holistic session but you must be willing to be responsible for the health of your being. If you think of your session as a partnership, rather than a quick fix, you may find that you get more out of it. If some of the issues you have been dealing with, have been with you for a while, then it may take a few sessions to balance your system. Raz is enthusiastically willing to guide you, during this process. 

Refer to the brief (but not limited to) descriptons below. If one or more of your Chakras are out of balance some of the areas in your life that correlate with that Chakra may also be out of balance. With all of the science and studies on the area of stress turning into physcial issues, this is a great time to tune into your self, respect and give your self love on a regular basis and nurture the physcial aspects, as well as, the energy of your body. 

Root Chakra  - Located: Base of spine
The root chakra governs the body's organs of excretion and the adrenals, it also influences the sense of smell. Emotionally, this chakra is the seat of survival(are you getting enough sleep?, eating the right food for YOUR body, drinking enough water etc.), and rules the primal instinct. Its element is earth, its color is red, and it's mantra is lam. Connect with this chakra to access your primal life-force. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Sacram/Sacral Chakra Located: Pelvic  
The sacral chakra governs the body's reproductive organs and gonads, it also influences the sense of taste. This chakra correlates with creativity and relationships.  Its element is water, its color is orange, and it's mantra is vam. Connect with this chakra to access your creativity. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Solar Plexus Chakra Located: 2" above Navel 
The solar plexus chakra governs the pancreas and abdominal organs, it also influences the sense of sight. This chakra correlates to self concept, self esteem.  Its element is fire, its color is yellow, and it's mantra is ram. Connect with this chakra to access your subconscious emotion, ego and will power. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Heart Chakra Located: Heart Area 
The heart chakra governs the body's lungs and thymus, it also influences the sense of touch. This chakra correlates with Love and compassion, especially with Self and also with othes. It is the seat of love and healing. Its element is air, its color is green, and it's mantra is yam. Connect with this chakra to access love. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Throat Chakra Located: Laryngeal Plexus 
The throat chakra governs the body's thyroid, it also influences the sense of hearing. This chakra correlates with speaking your truth, communication, positive inner dialog, saying no to others projects if it takes too much of your energy. Third-Eye Chakra 
Located: Between the eyebrows, forhead 
The third-eye chakra governs the body's pituitary gland, it also influences the sixth sense - the higher mind. This chakra correlates with intuition, dreams, and extra-sensory perception. Its element is time, its color is indigo, and it's mantra is Aum. Connect with this chakra to access your primordial, super-natural power. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Crown Chakra 
Located: Top/crown of head, brain 
The crown chakra governs the body's pineal gland, and its influence is beyond the sensory realm. This chakra corralets with consciousness, connection, divinity, peace and enlightenment. Its element is space, its color is violet or crystal colored with the irridescence of the rainbow, and it's mantra is silence. Connect with this chakra to access all-knowing, eternal bliss and liberation from all things corporeal/material. Using corresponding colored crystals or colors may also deepen the connection.

Thymus Gland 

Governs the "Seat of the Soul". This chakra is pink and also correlates with your immune and lymph systems and Soul matters.
